Min Qualifications

Qualification as a general supervisor under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments is required to perform essential duties in the laboratory specialty.



Min Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or basic sciences required. Technologist Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) required. Minimum of four (4) years experience working in a laboratory as a Certified Technologist required.

Job Description:

To provide the administrative and technical skills necessary to organize, supervise, and coordinate all functions of a group of laboratory division sections.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is from $57,600.00 to $86,400.00 annually, commensurate with experience.

This position is a BAND CODE: PC21

Specific Job Related Duties

Essential job functions include:
Administration of personnel policies including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and progressive discipline.
Development, update, and review of laboratory procedures.
Review of quality control and proficiency testing results.
Coordination of continuing education programs.
Management of critical supplies.

Preferred License/Certificate

The preferred candidate will possess SBB(ASCP) certification.

Preferred Skill/Competency

This position requires an individual with good communication skills, technical expertise in blood banking, the ability to coach and mentor employees, knowledge of blood bank accreditation requirements, and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Work Experience

Three years of supervisory experience in a full service blood bank is desired. Experience with a level 1 trauma center and large academic hospital would be beneficial.
